Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Arizona January 12, 1967 Pioneer Arizonan Dies Here Mrs. Lottie Simons, 81, a pioneer Arizonan, passed away at Community Hospital last Thursday morning. Born in Neodesha, Kansas, she moved with her parents to Oregon where she married Lloyd Simons in 1905. The Simons moved to Phoenix in 1913 and to Wickenburg in 1923. Mrs. Simons was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1963. Before moving into town ten years ago the Simons operated a ranch on the east side of the Hassayampa raising hay. Services for Mrs. Simons, who had been in ill health, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wickenburg Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Elam of the First Baptist church officiated. Burial was in the Wickenburg cemetery. Mrs. Simons is survived by her daughter Mrs. Blanche Blair and granddaughter Mrs. William Barbara Franklin, both of Wickenburg; a son Delevan Simons, Redmond, Ore., and two sisters and a brother all living out of state. Four great grandchildren also survive.
