Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Arizona February 2, 1967 Thursday Rites for Mr. Bashor Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon for Ernest M. Bashor, long time resident of Salome, who passed away Monday afternoon in Community Hospital here where he had been a patient since January 16. The Rev. Marvin Elam of the First Baptist Church will officiate at the Wickenburg Funeral Home services and burial will follow in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mr. Bashor, who was 72 years of age, was born in Oregon and had been a resident of Arizona since 1928. In that year he came from Lebanon, Ore., and took up a homestead in the Harquahala Valley south of Salome. Some three years later he moved to Salome and had resided there since. He had been in ill health for many years. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ted (Barbara) Brown of Salome; Mrs. Myrtie Wells of Redding, Calif., and Mrs. Loladean Jongeward of Mountain View, Calif. Two surviving sisters reside out of state. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
