ARROWSMITH, James T. M.


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, July 15, 2003 James T. M. Arrowsmith, 1935-2003. James T. M. Arrowsmith left this life peacefully after a valiant struggle with cancer on July 11, 2003 at his home with his wife and children by his side. Jim was born to Henry and Elza (Cluff) Arrowsmith, December 2, 1935 in Superior, AZ. In June 1958 he married Phyllis Martin, and was sealed in the Mesa, AZ Temple on July 17, 1973. Jim attended ASU and majored in Manufacturing Engineering. He retired from Allied Signal in 1997. Jim and Phyllis had three children and seven grandchildren. Jim loved life and lived it to the fullest. His family was his life. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandpa and true friend. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; son, Jim (Mesa, AZ); daughters, Marta (Apache Junction, AZ) and Shauna (Mesa, AZ); grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Nathan, Stephanie, Daylin, Kyle and Ian; brother, Dwaynn Arrowsmith and sister Annie James both of Mesa. He loved and was loved by his family and friends. A special thanks to family, friends, neighbors, employers, and Hospice of the Valley for their outstanding support. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice of the Valley would be appreciated. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 15 W. 1st Ave. at 10:00 A.M. on July 16, 2003 with a viewing on July 15, 2003 at 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Meldrums Mortuary located at 52 N. MacDonald St., Mesa, AZ 85201.
