Louise A. Blaser, Long time resident of Muncie, Indiana; - Louise Ann Blaser of 20A Douglas Dr., Tavares, FL died on June 24, 2003 (just 6 days short of her 53rd wedding anniversary) of cancer. She was born to the late DeWitt H. Smith and Maree (Greer) Smith of Marion, IA on Nov. 27, 1927. Surviving her are her husband Dr. Frank T. Blaser of Tavares, FL; sister Gerry Norris of Rock Island, IL; brothers Richard Smith of Bethel Park, PA and Leslie Smith of Marion, IA; children Steve M. Blaser of Indianapolis, IN; Pastor Alice M. Bennett of Scottsdale, AZ; and Robert A. Blaser of Phoenix, AZ; and grandchildren Matthew, Rebekah, and Grace Blaser and Bruce I. Bennett, II. Louise had the degrees of Bachelors of Fine Arts from U. of Iowa and Masters of Fine Arts from Ball State U. She worked in oils; acrylics; wood, clay, and metal sculptures; and marquetry. She frequently won the outdoor Christmas displays competitions in the 1960s in Dallas, Texas where the family lived for many years. Her art was frequently on display, taking prizes at the Women's building at the Dallas State Fair. Louise was a long-time member of the PEO and a life master bridge player. But most of all, she was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her quick and subtle wit brightened the days of those about her. She is deeply missed by friends and family. The funeral services will be at Intimacy with Jesus Church at 14415 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, AZ at 10:00 am, July 15th. Phone (480) 991-7729.
