Mr. Coffey died July 13, 2003 in Mesa, Arizona.
Lew was born February 22, 1926 in Carlinville, Illinois.
He was a retired banker and served banks in Kansas, Wyoming, Illinois, Oklahoma, North Dakota and Arizona. He was president of four different institutions. He was an active Lion, square dancer, fisherman, bowler and camper. He had a multitude of friends and enjoyed so many activities. He founded the Methodist church in Fountain Hills, AZ through dedication and hard work. He was a devoted husband who will be missed beyond words.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Coffey, daughters: Brenda Coffey and Victoria Aleman (Steve), step-daughter Michele Evans (James) and step- son Craig Jones (Patty), his brother Glen Coffey (Stella), his sister Evelyn Greaves (Russel), six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, July 17, 2003 at 10:00 AM Red Mountain United Methodist Church 2936 N. Power Rd., Mesa.
