DICKSON, Annie Cornelia

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, July 16, 2003 Annie Cornelia Richardson Dickson was born on October 11, 1907 in Kinston, North Carolina and died peacefully in Prescott, Arizona on July 11, 2003. She married Cecil Palmer Dickson on March 28, 1935. Mr. Dickson preceded her in death in April, 1993. Anne was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and worked as a dietitian at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Anne was also head dietitian at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. She ran a grocery and dry goods store in Henderson, NC with her husband Palmer. She moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1961 and worked at the Kiva Shop on Fifth Avenue before retiring to Peoria, AZ with her husband. They moved to Prescott Valley in 1984. Anne is survived by her nieces, Susan Ness and Dottie Barrett, her nephew Macon Richardson, nine great nieces and nephews, and one great-great niece. She is greatly missed by each one. Visitation will be Friday, July 18, from 6pm to 8pm at Sunrise Funeral home, 8167 E. Hwy 69, Prescott Valley. The funeral service will be at Sunrise Funeral Home on Saturday, July 19, at 10am. IDEAS provides support to families of individuals diagnosed with abnormalities of chromosome 15. Donations may also be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
