The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, July 16, 2003 Herbert Joachim Franks, 56, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on July 12, 2003. Mr. Franks was a Navy Vietnam veteran. There will be no visitation or viewing. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, 10:00 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Pinnacle Peak and Cave Creek Roads. He is survived by his parents, John and Maria Franks, fiancee, Betty Rust, sons, Herbert II and John, daughter-in-law, Dawn and 3 grandchildren.
