BARNETTE, Eleanor K. (Kay)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, January 16, 2007 Eleanor K. (Kay) Barnette passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at YRMC. Kay was born in Louisville, Ky., May 14, 1947, to Robert and Mary Noel. She was raised from the age of 5 in Chandler, Ariz., where she met and married her dear husband, David R. Barnette. In 1980, they settled in Prescott, where they raised their four children. Kay worked for the Prescott Unified School District for 18 years. Kay was survived by her husband of 38 years, David R. Barnette, of Prescott Valley. Kay is also survived by three brothers, Bobby, Ken and Ron; four children, Stacy (Rusty) Weaver of Prescott Valley, Tawni (Mike) Bodle of Surprise, Randy (Megan) Barnette of Prescott Valley and Dale (Destiny) Barnette of Prescott. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two god-grandchildren. She was the best wife Mom and Grandma in the world. Viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, with services to start promptly at 2 p.m. at the Prescott Valley LDS Church Building, located at 7885 E. Long Look Drive in Prescott Valley.
