SCROGGS, Robert (Andy)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, January 19, 2007 Robert "Andy" Scroggs died unexpectedly on Jan. 16, 2007, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 26, 1937, in Brasstown, N.C., the son of Robert and Margie (Cain) Scroggs. Andy was 69 years old. Andy proudly served in the United States Air Force as a combat air crewman, Thailand, Vietnam Air Offensive and was stationed at the Pentagon attached to the Intelligence Agency before his retirement in 1983. Andy married the love of his life, Judy, on April 6, 1990. They moved to Prescott in 1993, where they were active members of the Mountain Top Street Rodders Association. They took part in many of their activities. Andy felt blessed with his marriage to Judy and was proud of his service to his country. A gathering in celebration of Andy's life will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez, Prescott. Information provided by survivors. ------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, February 21, 2007 Committal services with full military honors for Robert Scroggs will be at 11 a.m., Friday, February 23, 2007, at the Prescott National Cemetery, with Chaplain Jack Unganst, Bob Stump Veterans Affairs Chaplain and the Honor Guard from American Legion Post # 6. Wakelin Family Funeral Homes assisted with the arrangements.
