Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Sunday, July 17, 2011 Beloved husband and father Michael E. Dingwell, 64, of Flagstaff died Sunday, July 10, 2011. He was born Dec. 29, 1946, in Lansing, Mich., to parents Wayne and Naida Dingwell. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded medals such as the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with valor. When he wasn't spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed numerous outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, camping and playing softball. He was truly an inspiration to everyone who knew him, and he will be missed by all. Mr. Dingwell is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pamela; and his two sons, Paul and Jeff (Jennifer) Dingwell. He also leaves behind five grandchildren -- Whitney, Michael, Kacy, Kayla, Preston; and two great-grandchildren -- Taylor and Aleyz. The family will be having a private memorial service to honor Michael's life on Saturday, July 23, 2011.
