HILBY, Beverly Blair


The Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on July 17, 2011 - Beverly Blair Hilby passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011. She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband of 53 years, Alan; four children, Bonnie Hilory of Oahu, Hawaii, Bret Hilby of Las Vegas, Tara Hilby of Tucson, and Brenda Hilby of Las Vegas. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Stephanie VandenBerg of San Diego, and Ian Hilory of Seattle. She is survived by her son-in-law, Kevin Talbot of Oahu; her daughter-in-law, Janet Hilby of Las Vegas; Clint VandenBerg of San Diego, Lorie Fitzpatrick of Las Vegas and Lana Eisenbarth of Seattle. Beverly was a native of San Francisco. She moved to Kingman from Southern California, where she had a successful career at Mattel Toys. Later she was a valued paralegal and was a participant in the Women's Rights Movement. Beverly moved to Kingman in 1997 and was active with the Kingman Social Club. She was also deeply involved with the Red Hat Society and as "Baroness of the Bazaar" was responsible for many good times with her Red Hat friends at the Tri-State Tea held in Laughlin, Nev. Famed actor, Tony Curtis once stated: "There's the lady with the permanent smile." Beverly and her smile will be remembered always.
