Alberta Zisk(oske), 84, of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away peacefully in her sleep at home with her family at her side on May 13, 2005. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 7, 1921.
Alberta and her husband, Joseph, were married at St. George's Catholic Church in Chicago. They lived in the Chicago area until moving to Arizona in 1962.
Alberta enjoyed swimming, fishing, walking the dog and reading. She worked for 17 years as a Corporate Trust Accountant at Valley National Bank until her retirement in 1983.
She and her husband Joe retired to Ellworth Heights in Show Low, Arizona and relocated to Cottonwood in 1989, living on Larkspur Drive and at Pine Shadows.
Alberta was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Ziskoske; son John Zisk(oske) of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; daughter Nancy Titus of Cottonwood and granddaughter, Specialist Katherine Titus, US Army Fort Belvoir, Va.
Alberta was an extraordinary person who lived her life as a simple prayer, touching the lives of everyone she knew with her beautiful smile, laughter, compassion and positive attitude. Some saints are canonized . . . some walk quietly among us, as did Alberta, living their lives as an example to all.
Private cremation for family only.
Westcott Funeral Home handled these arrangements.
