Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from July 8 to July 15, 2011 - Julianne Collins, age 83, a 30-year resident of Topock, Ariz., passed on Thursday, June 30, 2011, in Mohave Valley, Ariz. She was born on January 10, 1928, in McCook, Neb., to Lawrence and Gladys (Brown) Stampe. Julie was a successful homemaker, artist, and an artist volunteer of murals for the Elementary School and Community Center in Topock. She was a long standing member of the Topock Art Guild and a volunteer at the "Seven Loonies", a specialty shop in town. Julie loved listening to music, reading books, enjoyed painting pictures, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Julie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Julie is survived by her three loving sons, Lonnie of Topock, Vince, Jr. of Pasadena, Calif., and Joseph of Lake Havasu City; two loving daughters, Linda Franco of Monterey Park, Calif., and Laura Dabney of Riverside, Calif.; sister, Theda Libby of Westlake, Ore.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 South Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, Ariz.
