Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from July 17 to July 24, 2011 - Karl Wane Jones, age 56, a 8-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away at his home on Sunday morning, July 10, 2011, surrounded by his family as they played his favorite song "I Can Only Imagine." Karl left this life due to complications of cancer. Karl was born January 10, l955, in Vallejo, Calif. He worked in the trucking industry 35 years and owned and operated "Karl Jones Trucking." Both he and his fiance, Elaine Shimpa, served as youth pastors together for nearly three years at Amazing Grace Fellowship in Bullhead City and urged many youths to make a change in their life for God and their family. Karl also helped Elaine Shimpa in Rotary International on special events, and he served on the team of Habitat For Humanity. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosaline Rifredi of Bullhead City. Karl is survived by his fiance, Elaine Shimpa; sister and brother-in-law, Drs. Gailand and Josiah Drawhorn; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Darrel Thacker; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Lynette Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and LaRee Jones; two daughters, Misty Hendricks and Michelle Ellis of Irving, Texas; and five grandchildren. A "Celebration of Life Memorial Service" will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Amazing Grace Fellowship, 2730 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City, Ariz. A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow at Los Lagos Club House, corner of Lipan Blvd and Mountain View in Fort Mohave, Ariz.
