TENA, Michael Christopher

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, July 20, 2011 Michael Christopher Tena, age 33 of Miami, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Globe, Ariz. on Jan. 21, 1978, the son of Susan C. (Sermenõ) and Frank J. Tena. Michael was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Miami. He worked as a security guard at Apache Gold Casino and Department of Corrections in Globe. Michael loved spending time with his daughter, Emmy, and his buddy, Bubba, and playing basketball with his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tony and Eva Sermenõ and Lena Naeter, and one nephew, Baby Ryan Scott. Michael leaves behind in loving memory one daughter, Emelia "Emmy" Eva Tena of Globe, Ariz.; parents, Frank and Susie Tena of Globe, Ariz.; one brother, Matthew A. Tena of Globe, Ariz.; two sisters, Melinda A. Ihrig (Chris) of Santan Valley, Ariz. and Melissa M. Delatorre (Tommy) of Queen Creek, Ariz.; five nephews and two nieces. Visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2011 at 6 p.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W. Sullivan Street, Miami, Ariz. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. Interment will be at Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for Michael C. Tena were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Miami.
