To survive the man you love is very painful under any circumstance. Jerry was my true love for 37 years. He was an honorable, caring and sensitive human being. Jerry was an officer and trustee of the Men's Auxiliary VFW Post 541 in Prescott, Ariz. He truly cared about everyone he met. He was a good listener and often engaged in conversations involving a variety of topics with his friends at the Post. Jerry respected everyone he met and was not judgmental. He was the first person to offer his help or advice. Jerry realized his health was declining the past few months. His struggle to maintain the quality of life he wanted was slipping away rapidly.
