Today's News-Herald, Lake havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, July 19, 2011 - Alfredo Edward Short 81, passed away in Lake Havasu City, July 9, 2011. He was born Sept. 2, 1929, in Stryker, Ohio, to Elmer and Jeanette (Yoder) Short. Alfred was a manufacturing factory worker, moving to Lake Havasu City from Maumee, Ohio, 31 years ago. He was a longtime member of Stonebridge Christian Fellowship, and he loved playing the harmonica, singing hymns and woodworking. Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lucille Short of Lake Havasu City; son Mark (Pam) Short of Lake Havasu City; grandson Matthew Short of Milwaukee, Mich.; great-grandchildren Charissa and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joseph and his sisters Margaret and Evelyn. A memorial will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at Stonebridge Christian Fellowship Church with words of comfort by Pastor Richard Tatham. Donations can be made in Alfred’s name to KNBL 510 N.
