JORDAN, Cam D.


The Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on July 20, 2011 - Cam D. Jordan, 77, of Kingman passed away July 13, 2011, with his family by his side. Cam was born on Feb. 22, 1934, in Hamilton, Texas, to Monroe and Estella Jordan. He graduated from high school in Littlefield, Texas; from there he entered the Army; then went to Texas Tech where he played football and graduated with a degree in Horticulture. Cam was an active member of Kingman Community Foundation and Masonic Lodge No. 79. His interests included family and bingo; he enjoyed going to Laughlin, attending auctions, old tractors, traveling and helping others. He is survived by two brothers, Shelby of Lancaster, Calif., and Clifford of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; a daughter, Camalita "Camie" Wing of Kingman; his grandson, J.R. Wing of Coos Bay, Ore.; seven great-grandchildren; and three stepchildren, Ann White, Robert Oman and Charolette Valentine. Cam was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wallace, L.C. and Willard; and also his wife of 16 years, Laura. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Kingman Community Foundation, 2985 E. John L Ave. Refreshments will follow afterwards.
