The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/22/2011 Ana "Annie" Orona Ulibarri, 78, died July 18, 2011, in Phoenix surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 28, 1932, in Quemado, N.M., the daughter of Francisco and Rumaldo Otero Orona. Annie always had a smile and kind words for everyone. She was raised on a ranch and loved the outdoors. She was a homemaker for 55 years; a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was faithful to her family. Annie was a Catholic and very faithful in attending mass up to the time she could no longer be there. She is survived by her loving family: husband, Ruben C. Ulibarri; son, Patrick Ulibarri; daughters: Diana Casias, Cindy Childress, Linda Howell, Gloria Ulibarri, Lisa Leyba, and Mary Ellen Otero; daughter-in-law Lucinda Ulibarri; brother, Robert Orona, and sister, Angelina Anaya; 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, sons: Ruben Jr. and David, daughters: Ruby and Grace, and eight siblings. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 22, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Springerville. Funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, also at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary handled arrangements.
