Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from July 14 to July 22, 2011 - Elwanda Virginia Kidwell, age 88, a 40-year resident of Bullhead City, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011, in Bullhead City, Ariz. She was born July 1, 1922, in Mutual, Oklahoma, to Alma and Ole Hopper. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand children, and the family dogs and cat. She was an avid fan of all motor sports. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Kidwell; her parents, Ole and Alma Hopper; and two brothers, Leroy and Hershcel Hopper. Elwanda is survived by her son, Earl "Jay" W. (Dalynn) Kidwell, Jr.; six grandchildren, Jodi, Jayson, and Rachel Kidwell, Jerod, Stacey (Konrad), and Jordan Hitt; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Elwanda's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at her son's house, 4480 Franklin St., Fort Mohave, Ariz. All friends of the family are welcome and encouraged to attend.
