Norman E. Whitten, age 85, a 20-year resident of Kingman, died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Kingman Regional Hospital in Kingman, Ariz. He was born August 21, 1925, in Belleville, Ill.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked in the automotive field prior to retiring in Arizona.
Mr. Whitten was a lifetime member of St. Clair (Ill.) Masonic Lodge and the Loyal Order of Moose.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Whitten, mother, Helen Rathke and son, Gerald Will.
Mr. Whitten is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy; three daughters, Debra Morganstern, Karen Sue Shands and Francesca Williams; four sons, Samuel Will, Oscar Will, Jack Will and James Will; brother, Skip Rathke; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
