DANOWSKI, Doris Marion

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, October 14, 2006 Doris Marion Danowski, age 88, died October 8,2006, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on January 27, 1918, in Norwich, Connecticut, the daughter of James H. and Lillian E. (Dombroski) Chester. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Stanley, in June 1999; her brother, James Chester; and sister, Lillian Donahue. Doris is survived by sons, Stanley Jr., Michael and David; daughters-in-law, Sharon and Marilyn; grandchildren, Erin, Diane, Lisa and John; brother, Raymond Chester; and sisters, Agnes Gardner and Kathleen McNickle of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews. Doris was a U.S. Navy veteran. She worked as a Medical Assistant in Phoenix, Ariz., and lived in Phoenix for 45 years prior to moving to Prescott in 1999. Doris was very active in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Phoenix. Doris will be remembered as woman with a sense of humor, a love of family, a strong faith in God and a devotion to the Catholic Church. Services will be held at a later date in honor of Doris.
