Saljacque (Sally) Haydon, age 72, died May 30, 2006 in Prescott, Ariz. She was born June 12, 1933 in San Diego, Calif, to William and Nellie Pearl (Crites) Trayner. Sally married John Burgess Haydon in Sebastopol, Calif, on August 23, 1958.
They lived a major portion of their lives in Alpine, Calif, before retiring in Chino Valley, Ariz. Sally and John shared 48 years together and had three daughters, Terri Jean, La Nell August and Lovella Pearl. All three daughters are residing in Chino Valley, Ariz. Sally also has a granddaughter, Jaymie Leora, who is presently a student at Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, Calif.
Throughout her life, Sally worked as a PBX operator, hat model, sales clerk and in the circulation department for San Diego Union Tribune.
Her greatest joy was to tend to her lovely garden and to be "Mother Hen" to her three adult daughters, as well as being her husband's best friend and companion. She also loved taking care of her cats, dogs and birds.
Sally is survived by her husband, three daughters and granddaughter.
In honor of Sally, private gatherings have been held.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in her name.
