Viewing will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with services at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Spring Valley Ward. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Double Butte Cemetery in Tempe, Ariz. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, July 27, 2011 Lamont Edward Hunsinger, 68, of Mayer, Ariz., passed away peacefully on July 25, 2011, after a valiant fight with cancer. Lamont was born on Nov. 6, 1942, in Phoenix, Ariz., the son of Jalma W. and Ella Mae (Carroll) Hunsinger. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Mary; children Kimberly (John) Jones, Cristie (John) Roach, Valarie, Jessica and Steven; eight grandchildren; six great-grandsons; his brother Jalma; and twin sister Margo. Lamont was preceded in death by his parents; his brother; J. Milton and Sheldon; sons Gary and Joe. Lamont enjoyed life and had a generous and kind heart. Always willing to lend a helping hand and give a positive word, Lamont will be dearly missed by his many friends and family. Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Spring Valley on Mule Deer Drive. Viewing is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with memorial service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Double Buttes Cemetery in Tempe, beginning at approximately 2 p.m. The family would like to express appreciation to the Hospice of the Pines and asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made there at 13175 East Highway 169, Dewey, AZ 86327, or to the Boy Scouts of America, Spring Valley Troop.
