PEARSON, William Raymond (Bill)

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, July 27, 2011 William Raymond Pearson, age 82, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on July 21, 2011. He was born in Delta, Colo. on Dec. 6, 1928. Bill was a beloved husband, father of four, grandfather of five, and great-grandfather of seven. Bill started working in lead mines at age 15 in Colorado and finished his career as foreman at the Christmas Mine in Arizona. Bill was a champion spades player, Dallas Cowboy fan, and enjoyed teasing and having fun with his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Barbara, and his daughter, Vicky Jean Preston. Bill is survived by his sons, Ken (Kay), Randy (Debbie), and Terry Pearson; his dear wife of 12 years, Doris; his brother, Gary (Janet), and his sister, Shirley Ewing (Glenn). Surviving grandchildren are Kristen, Kerry, Christopher, Amanda, and Nicci. He also leaves behind his beloved dachshund, Mini-Mae. Memorial services will be on Wednesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. at Lamont Mortuary, 328 S. Hill Street, Globe, Ariz. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
