Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Wednesday, July 27, 2011 - James Andrew DeMaio passed away in Lake Havasu City July 23, 2011. He was 25 years old. James was born June 11, 1986, in Newport Beach, Calif., to Vincent and Lynda DeMaio. The family moved to Lake Havasu in 1989 and James attended elementary school, junior high and graduated from Desert Tech High School. James had recently turned his life around and was so proud of his accomplishment. The joy of his life was his beautiful daughter, JentriAnne. He loved the desert, off-roading with his friends, pool parties and taco nights. James was sensitive, compassionate and had a huge heart. He was loved by so many people, his big brown eyes and sense of humor are what made him so loveable. The way he treated people with respect and his kindness will forever live in our hearts. James and his brothers were very close and he loved his family and girlfriend deeply. James is survived by his loving parents, Vince and Lynda DeMaio of Lake Havasu City; precious daughter, Jentri Anne; and girlfriend, Lisa Welch, of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers, Jeffrey DeMaio, of Lake Havasu City, Ryan DeMaio and girlfriend Natasha Starbird, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; grandmother, Rita Behnke, of Costa Mesa, Calif.; Uncle Doug and Aunt Jennie Behnke, of Costa Mesa, Calif.; Uncle Steven and Aunt Melodie Behnke, of Long Beach, Calif.; cousins, Jessica and Summer Behnke, of Long Beach, Calif.; and numerous extended family and friends. James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and MareeLee DeMaio; uncle, Rick DeMaio; aunt, Nonie Behnke; and maternal grandfather, Robert W. Behnke. Join us in celebrating James’s life Friday at Lakeview Community Church, 1699 W.
