Eleanor Sue Bochat Myers passed from this life and went home at 9 a.m. on Jan. 21, 2007. Sue was bom in Prescott on Oct. 10, 1940, to Si and Evelyn Bochat.
She was raised at Fairview Floral on Miller Valley Road. She had lots of cousins in the neighborhood, and her grandparents lived next door. Attending Prescott schools, she was in the band and played the French horn and the violin. She graduated in 1958 and married the love of her life, Paul Myers. The first years of their marriage, Paul was in the military. They lived in different parts of the country while their family was growing.
They have three children, Carolyn Thacker of Oak Harbor, Wash.; Dawn Myers of Nashville, Ill.; and Matthew Myers of Kirkland. There are seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
When her children were young, Sue was a Scout leader, a 4-H leader, and a perennial room mother. In her later years she was active with the American Legion post in Bagdad, and she volunteered at the local school.
Besides her family, the joys of her life were her flowers, her gardens, and her cat friends. She was an expert seamstress and enjoyed needlework as well. The last few years of her life she had been studying piano. Sue also enjoyed exploring the countryside with her husband in their RV. Her transition was at home in the arms of those who loved her.
A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 581 Lincoln Ave., Prescott.
