Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, August 03, 2011 Karin Hammargren It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the family of Karin Hammargren announces her passing. Karin Hammargren, age 70, of Las Cruces, N.M. entered into eternal life Thursday, June 30, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 24, 1940 in Frankfurt, Germany to Kurt and Marie Babette Blez Pfeiffer. Mrs. Hammargren was a proprietor of numerous hotels. She was a member of the Moose Club, the Order of the Eastern Star in Milwaukee, Wis. and enjoyed attending church. She loved to play Bingo, Keno, and different card games. She was also a world traveler and enjoyed visiting the Globe-Miami area to visit family and friends. Those left to mourn her passing include four daughters, Judith (Patrick) McGuire and Carol (Stan) Dyer both of Las Cruces, N.M., Michelle Meissner of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sanna (Crow) Castro of Globe, Ariz. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Hammargren; her twin sister, Erika Oleschko; and daughter, Teri Hammargren. Services were held July 9, 2011 in Las Cruces, N.M. “May time and grief pass swiftly...may memories last forever.”
