The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/05/2011 Patricia Ann Gross, 74, resident of St. Johns died Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Summit Healthcare. She was born May 14, 1937, in San Diego, Calif. Patricia retired as a loan officer for First National Bank after 35 years. She loved gardening, a good novel, spoiling her grandchildren and, to her joy, her great-grandchildren. She went to join her beloved husband, Robert Gross, after battling cancer for many years. She rests with the Lord now. Patricia is survived by her son, Thomas James (Linda) Gross of Aurora, Colo.; daughters: Sue (James) Carthel of St. Johns, and Sheryl (Harry) Lakser of Tucson; seven grandchildren: Daniel James (Geraldine) Carthel, Robert Del Carthel, Rayna Elise (Scott) Weaver, Kara Elizabeth Lakser, Shaylynn Kathleen Lakser, Cheniece Kathrine Anderson, Tyler James Gross; and four great-grandchildren: Ryan, Jeremiah, Ethan, and Abigail. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Nov. 3, 2010). A private family service will be held at a later date. Burnham Mortuary of St. Johns handled arrangements.
