Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1952; Page 6, Col.2 "GEORGE DENT RITES TO BE HELD HERE WEDNESDAY, 2:30 Funeral services for George Gibson Dent, 60, son of Mr.s Frank Leslie, will be held Wednesday at 2:30 at the Federated church. Rev. L.L. Patterson will officiate. Burial will be at Masonic cemetery. Dent died of a heart attack Feb. 1 in Lebanon, Ore., where he had been living since 1937. His body arrived in Flagstaff Tuesday. Born in Flagstaff July 15, 1891, Dent was educated here and worked with his father, Joseph Dent, on a sheep ranch. He lived in Oregon. He is survived by six children, ERLAH McDOWELL and RHODA CLIPPHAGER (Clipplager) of Seattle, Wash.; JOE DENT, TOM DENT, DOROTHY SHELTON and RUTH BARHAM of Roseburg, Ore. All six children are present in Flagstaff for the services. He also is survived by 11 grandchildren. Dent was a member of the Methodist church. His brother, Thomas Deal, died here in 1927. A sister, Nora Dent, died in 1936."
