Glenn Francis Howarth went home to be with the Lord July 19, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, at age 78. He was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Los Angeles.
Glenn served proudly under the direction of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a code interpreter. He then went to work in the Reserves as a Seabee for 18 years. A couple of years following his discharge from the Army, he married his beloved bride, Joanne Peterson, Jan. 19, 1957, and together they made Lake Havasu their home 16 years ago from La Puente, Calif. Glenn was a member of VFW Post 9401, an avid reader and loved the outdoors; walking on the seashore and hiking in the mountains.
Glenn leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Jan Howarth; sons, Gary (Terri) Howarth and Mark Howarth; daughters, Denise (Andy) Meredith, and Jolene (Jim) Slater; brother, Lloyd Howarth; and seven grandchildren, Joseph, Deidre, Andre, Lauren, Garrett, Zachary and Emily.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lila Howarth and brother, Harry Howarth.
Memorial services will be at a later date in California.
