Cecil F. Rammelsberg, 78, died Saturday, July 30, 2011, in Branson, Mo. He was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Newhall, Iowa to Cecil Homer and Esther Anna Thomas Rammelsberg.
He was raised on a farm in Newhall, Iowa. After high school, Cecil was called upon by his country to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. After serving in the Army, Cecil headed out west to Arizona. There he met Clydene Finch and they were married in 1961. His work as a rock driller and blaster kept them moving around the state of Arizona. In 1974 they were blessed with a son; Jason Rammelsberg. In 1979 they moved to Ava, Mo. and then in 1985 to Branson, Mo. Cecil retired in 2001 and after a 10 year battle with COPD and Sarcoidosis, he passed away.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Clydene Rammelsberg of Branson, Mo.; son Jason (Aundrea) Rammelsberg of Salt Lake City, Utah; brothers: Dale Rammelsberg; Glen Rammelsberg both of Iowa; sisters: Beulah Maloney of Iowa; Fern Bauman of Ariz.; Kathryn Knaack; Roxy Roster both of Iowa; and Darlene Lawler of ll.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Esther Mae Johnson and Mildred Rammelsberg.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 5, at the Amity Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Eagar with visitation one hour prior.
