BRINKLEY, Shelby Deserae

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, August 10, 2011 Shelby Deserae Brinkley (Conner) passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the age of 31. She was the beloved wife of Brent Brinkley and loving mother of Emily, age 13, and Tanner, age 9. Shelby always put her husband and children first in her life. Her nurturing spirit led her to work in a nursing home and care for the elderly with a tenderness and compassion that eventually led her to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She eagerly enrolled in the Southeastern Oklahoma University, working towards her nursing degree. Shelby loved her family more than any one person can love another. Her life’s passions were her husband, children and pets. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed quadding, horseback riding, and hunting with her husband. Shelby had a very loving heart and will be greatly missed by all. Shelby is survived by her husband Brent Brinkley, daughter Emily, son Tanner, parents Floyd and Kim Maxwell, brother Benjamin Conner, father- and mother-in-law Robert and Marjorie Brinkley, and numerous other family and friends. Preceding her in death was her brother Kurt Robertson. Services will be held at the Southern Baptist Church in Wickenburg on Saturday (Aug. 13) at 10 a.m., officiated by Pastor Rod Hackett. Arrangements are by David’s Desert Chapel Funeral Home.
