Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, August 10, 2011 JC Shoemaker, age 83, of Miami passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Copper Mountain Inn. He was born on May 19, 1928, in Murray County, Okla., the son of Floye and Mart Shoemaker. JC proudly served his country in the United States Navy and the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for 32 years with the Forestry Services and was a lifelong member of the Apache Bow Hunters, a member of the Globe-Miami Gun Range, and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents. JC leaves behind in loving memory his wife, Patsy D. Shoemaker of Miami, Ariz.; one son, Jay L. Shoemaker (Alice) of Globe, Ariz.; one daughter, Sherry Killmer (Bill) of Globe, Ariz.; one sister, Eola Reynolds of Pueblo, Colo.; two nephews, Jack Carter of Pueblo, Colo. and Dean Carter of Washington; three grandchildren, Sandra Shoemaker, Jay L. Shoemaker, Jr. and Cain Pena; and five great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements for JC Shoemaker were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Miami.
