GALLAGHER, Michael Patrick


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/12/2011 Michael Patrick Gallagher, 47, died Aug. 4, 2011, in Western N.M. He was a resident of Springerville. Michael was born March 17, 1964, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Brian and Deanna Gallagher. Michael served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1982-86 and in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1988-1992. He worked for Omni Flight Aviation as a helicopter medivac pilot. He was raised and educated in Elm Grove, Wis. He served proudly in the USMC as an aviation mechanic and received commission as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and obtained 20,000 hours flight time. Michael was a great skier, avid golfer, fisherman, and Green Bay Packers fan. He loved living and flying as a helicopter tour pilot on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, where he met and married his loving wife Shanda. He was very close to his stepson, Alex. Michael is survived by his wife Shanda Werry Gallagher; son Noah Gallagher; stepson Alex Doolittle; parents Dr. Brian and Mrs. Deanna Gallagher of Los Angeles, Calif., in-laws Mac and Debbie Werry of Shelby, Mont., sister and brother-in-law David and Mary Gallagher Damiani, niece Mia of Burbank, Calif., and brother-in-law Ryan Werry, Seattle, Wash. A memorial service was held Aug. 11, at Burnham Mortuary of Eagar; and Aug. 12, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Springerville. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
