ARMIJO, George

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/12/2011 George Armijo, 55, of Show Low died Aug. 6, 2011. Mr. Armijo, a splicer in the cable television industry, was born June 25, 1956, in Show Low. George was born and raised in Show Low, and lived the majority of his life there. He loved the White Mountains and enjoyed spending time outdoors. His constant companion for the past two years has been his Husky/Malamute mix, Akela. He is survived by his son, Derek Armijo of Eloy; daughter Ashley Armijo; brothers: Anday Armijo of Pinetop, and Bobby Armijo of Lakeside; sisters: Bea Graham of Show Low and Gloria Vasquez of Coolidge. He was preceded in death by his son, Roman Armijo and his parents, Juan and Teddy Armijo. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Black's Show Low Mortuary Chapel, 401 N 4th Ave in Show Low. Black's Show Low Mortuary handled arrangements.
