Arthur DeShazo of Wanette, Okla, formally of Lakeside died Aug. 10, 2011, at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 17, 1942, in Tishomingo, Okla. to George and Dovie DeShazo.
Arthur was a member of the St Louis First Baptist Church. He loved fishing no matter where as long as he caught fish. He loved his family very much and held a special place in his heart for all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Shirley Flood and Betty Hobbs; brother Allard DeShazo; and his wife of 42 years, June DeShazo. He married Deloris Hamilton of Wanette, Okla. Feb. 17, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris DeShazo, of the home; daughter and son-in-law Joy and Randy McCollum of Cashion, Okla.; son and daughter-in-law Richard and Tracy DeShazo of Kingfisher, Okla., Peggy Hamilton of Shawnee, Okla., Doug and Debbie Hamilton of Tuttle Okla., Connie and Gary Mock of Asher, Okla., Barbara and Bill Siler of Macomb, Okla., 16 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
