The Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on August 14, 2011 - Gerald L. "Jake" Jacobsen, 77, of Kingman passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011. He was born March 7, 1934, in Omaha, Neb., the son of Einar and Leta Mae Jacobsen. Gerald lived in Lincoln and Bennett, Neb., for 67 years. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, Jake was a member of American Legion Post 14 in Kingman. He loved RVing with family, and was an avid sportsman who loved telling fishing and hunting stories. He chose to donate his body to Generation Foundation for cancer research. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wally Jacobsen, and sister, Shirley Eisenbarth. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Brissette-Jacobsen of Kingman; daughter, Deborah Maddock-Bulmer and sons, William and Robert Bulmer; three sons, Jerry (Andrea) Maddock and family, Jerry Jacobsen and Steve Jacobsen; brother James (Sharon) Jacobsen of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews including Pete (Deborah) Eisenbarth of Roca, Neb., and James (Billie) Jacobsen and family; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Extended family members include Belinda (Buck) Mathias and Blake (Maya) Mathias of Las Vegas; William (Maria) and Billy Brissette of Kingman; and Brenda (Dan) Mata, Brent, Brandon and Bryce Mata of Michigan.
