Ralph Allen Jensen, 64, longtime resident of Humboldt and Mayer, Ariz., passed away suddenly early Thursday morning Aug. 11, 2011, while staying in his motor home while visiting family in Pocatello.
He was born Nov. 11, 1946, in Prescott, Ariz., a son of William Soren and Violet Mae Allen Jensen. He attended elementary school in Humboldt, Ariz., and then Prescott High School, graduating in 1964.
He worked in the heavy road construction industry most of his life and many years for Rummel Construction Co., retiring as a superintendent in 2008. He liked hunting, fishing, boating, four-wheeling and traveling. He simply enjoyed the outdoors and wide open spaces of Arizona. He was a loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda S. Gates of Mayer; son Sterling (Leslie) Jensen of Silver City, N.M.; daughter Shelley (Clint) DeMoss of Spring Valley, Ariz.; brother James Jensen of Humboldt; sister Shirley Doil of Humboldt; five grandchildren, Shayleen, Kelli, Ash, Tyler and Trevor; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella. He was preceded in death by his parents.
