Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, August 16, 2011 Donald J. Whorf Jr., passed away Aug. 1, 2011 in Lake Havasu City. He was born Feb. 23, 1956, in Beverly, Mass., to Donald Sr. and June D. (Burgess) Whorf. Don was a resident and business owner in Lake Havasu City for 24 years. He was known for his good nature and generosity. He enjoyed good music, movies and playing darts with friends. Sadly, Don's health deteriorated, and his body gave way. May he rest now with no more pain or sadness. With heavy hearts, we say farewell to a good man. We will miss you and remember you always, with love. Don is survived by his father, Don Whorf Sr., of Lake Havasu City; brothers, Jay Whorf, of Lake Havasu City, and Dave Whorf, of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Dru Madruga, of Lynn, Mass., and Wendy Paul, of Indiana Rock, Fla.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, June Whorf. There will be a memorial service at a later date, pending family’s arrival.
