JENSEN, Raymond Axel


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, August 16, 2011 - Raymond Axel Jensen passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, at age 84. He was born to Axel and Mary (Bhernest) Jensen Sept. 5, 1926, in Scotia, Calif. Raymond was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a homebuilder in Northern California until 1969. He moved to Northern Idaho and continued home construction and siding, and then retired in Kendrick, Idaho. Raymond moved to Lake Havasu City in 2006 to reside with daughter, Yolanda and son-in-law Gabriel McKilly. Raymond was proud of his U.S. Navy services and loved sharing those stories. His greatest love was his family, and then nature. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman, sharing those experiences with family and friends. We will all miss his zest for adventures and quick wit. He leaves us full of cherished memories. Raymond is survived by his beloved family, daughter, Yolanda and her husband, Gabriel McKilly; daughter, Jennifer Stack; sisters, Ellen Emmons and Donna Yde; brothers, John and Gary Jensen; grandchildren, Brandon Waggoner, Craig Waggoner and his wife, Angela, Lance Johansen and his wife, Heather, and Jordan Johansen.
