Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, August 16, 2011 Josephine M. Vella Nov. 21, 1910 — Aug. 14, 2011 Josephine was born in a small village in Sicily in 1910. She came to America in 1914 with her parents and siblings and lived in Rochester, N.Y. She met her husband, Joe, and married in 1935. They lived in Rochester before moving to Washington, D.C., in 1938. Josephine had two sons and is survived by her son, Alex, of Lake Havasu City, his wife, Pat; and three grandchildren, Mark Vella and Joseph Vella, of El Segundo, Calif., and Nichole Vella, of Portland, Ore.; and three great-grandchildren, Nola, Koa and RockyJo. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 2005; and her son, Gregory, in 2003. Thoughts and condolences can be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
