Copper Country News, Globe, AZ Wednesday, Aug 17th, 2011 Barbara Jo Peña passed away on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at the home of her wonderful auntie, Jovita “Jaye” Howell, with her family present after a long battle with breast cancer. Barbara Jo was born Oct. 12, 1962, to Connie and Richard Cocreham of Miami, Arizona. She was the second to the youngest of five children. She attended Miami High School. Barbara enjoyed family and friends. Her interests were studying the word of God, watching HGTV and spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook, a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Barb was employed at Safeway for 30 years, where she developed many friendships and devoted customers. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Cocreham, Jr.; and her grandparents, Richard and Stella Cocreham and Ventura and Maria Lopez. Barbara is survived by her husband, Antonio “Tony” Peña; her children, Faustina Pearce, Tyler Pearce, and Aisha Perino; her stepchildren, Philip, Desiree and Andres M. Peña; her mother, Concepcion L. Cocreham; her brother, Michael Osorio; her sisters, Bonnie Fornfeist (John), Marie Hutchinson (Bob) and Dicksie Sitz (Todd); five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2011 at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 25 at Calvary Shadows Assembly of God in Globe. Interment will follow at Globe Cemetery. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
