BERUMEN, Juan M. *

Crystal Rose Funeral Home, Tolleson, Arizona Juan M. Berumen, 103, from Tolleson, AZ, passed away peacefully Feb. 20, 2008 in his home. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico. He came to the United States in 1917. In 1923 he worked in a fishing expedition in Valdez, Alaska. He then returned and worked for the railroad, was a farm worker and a retired from Fullerform Company. In his early years he was a billiard champion in Tolleson. He loved gardening, traveling, going to the casinos, senior center, and family celebrations. Juan is preceded in death by his wife Cuca. He is survived by his 7 children; Daughters: Jenny (Edmundo) Martinez, Olivia Berumen, Patsy Gonzales, Lupe Berumen; Sons: Robert (Ernestina), John (Alejandra), David (Christina), 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation and Rosary will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Monday, February 25, 2008 and a Funeral Mass 10:00 AM, Tuesday, Feb. 26th at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 512 N. 93rd Ave in Tolleson. Interment held at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, Arizona.
