Crystal Rose Funeral Home, Tolleson, Arizona Abel Silva Melendez entered into life April 18, 1946 in Ysleta, Texas and entered into rest February 10, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona. Abel served in the U.S. Army and worked as a machinist in the aeorspace industry. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife of 42 years; Mary, son; Rudy, daughter; Sonia (Tony), 5 grandchildren; Andre, Anthony, Matthew, Christian and Nicholas, and sister; Addie. Preceded in death by his brother; Pete, sister; Rosie, both his parents; Juan & Josefa Melendez. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 17, 2009 with visitation 1 hour prior to services at St. John Vianney Church 539 E. La Pasada Blvd., Goodyear, AZ with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ.
