Wickenburg SUN, Wickenburg, Arizona April 10, 1942 Funeral Services for Michael D. Burns Funeral services will be conducted at the Wickenburg Chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. for Michael D. Burns who passed away Wednesday morning at his home north of town following a brief illness. Father Albert Knier, of Ajo, Arizona, will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery at Prescott at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon with the Elks Lodge of Prescott in charge of the committal services. Mr. Burns was born at Clarion, Iowa, July 22, 1871, and for more than 40 years had been employed by the Santa Fe Railroad, serving at Roswell, New Mexico, Amarillo, Texas, and for the past 26 years was railroad agent here. In addition to his wife, Edith, he is survived by a daughter, Ruth of Los Angeles. He had been a member of the Roswell Elks Lodge for many years. His daughter and niece, Mrs. Harry Gross of San Bernardino, California arrived in Wickenburg Wednesday evening. Mr. Burns was admired and deeply respected by all who knew him and his passing will leave a vacancy in the hearts of his many friends in Wickenburg and throughout Arizona.
