John Bliss Dies – Citizen of M’town was Former Official in Minneapolis Courthouse
John Bliss of Morristown passed away September 6 at Community Hospital here where he had been admitted 10 days earlier. Mr. Bliss came to Morristown from Minneapolis, Minn., three years ago following his retirement as Chief Deputy of Registered Deeds at the county courthouse in Minneapolis. He had been employed in that office 36 years. Mr. Bliss had been in poor health since suffering a stroke five years ago. He was 67 years old at the time of his death.
The body was returned to Minneapolis this week where funeral services and burial will take place.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Agnes Bliss, of Morristown; five children, Harold Bliss, Jerry Bliss and Mrs. Betty Mahowald of Minneapolis; Mrs. Clara Jane Hanson of Normal, Ill., and Jack Bliss of Kansas City, Mo. The later and Mrs. Mahowald were here this week. One brother, Eugene Bliss of Phx., also survives.
