WALLACE, Franklin E. (Dr.)

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 9, 1949 Dr. Wallace Is Summoned - Final Rites Friday For Well Known Man Death came this week, in Community Hospital, to a man who had lived in this district for 10 years, in Wickenburg for the past few years, practiced his profession here, and could be considered a well known citizen, yet who had confided in few responsible residents any of the intimate details of his life and history. The man was Dr. Franklin E. Wallace, who practiced therapy here and who, it is said, received his training in that profession abroad and in his native Chicago. Dr. Wallace passed away at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday, January 6. Following a heart attack, he was admitted to the hospital December 26 and suffered two strokes while there, the last resulting in his death. According to records at the hospital, Dr. Wallace was 59 years of age. At the time of his admittance, he gave as his nearest relative an adopted daughter, Helen R. Ruggles. Her residence was not given. Friends of Dr. Wallace say that he came to Arizona from Chicago in 1935 and two years later moved to this district to serve as custodian of the Monte Cristo Mine, owned by a close friend. About two years ago, he moved into Wickenburg and opened an office here. Funeral services were scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. Friday of this week at the Wickenburg Chapel with burial following in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
