Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 1, 1950 Funeral Tuesday in Visalia for Mrs. Pat Murphy Funeral services were held in Visalia, Calif., last Tuesday for Mrs. Carolyn Murphy who died there on Sunday. Mrs. Murphy had lived in Wickenburg with her husband, Clifton (Pat) Murphy, and their daughter, Kathleen, 9 years old, until their move to Visalia last June. She had been a patient in a Visalia hospital for a week. Burial was in that city. The Murphy family moved to Wickenburg three years ago from their native Indiana for Mrs. Murphy’s health. She had rheumatic fever for the past 15 years. Surviving are the husband, the daughter; the mother, Mrs. Ethel Ricky of Visalia; and two sisters, Virginia and Dorothy also of Visalia. Mrs. Murphy was a member of Eastern Star. Mr. Murphy was president of the Wickenburg Saddle Club prior to moving to Visalia. While here he was a painting contractor, and the family was well known here.
