Frank Alt Rites will be Saturday
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 o’clock by the Rev. Charles A. Surber in Wickenburg Chapel for Frank Alt who was found dead in his car at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday near Morristown.
According to Deputy Sheriff Clyde A. Hall, Mr. Alt had left his cabin, one of the Desert Cabins of Lee Moore and Harry Charles, at 10:30 p.m., drove his car about 100 years, stopped his car leaving the lights burning. At 11:30 p.m., when someone investigated, he was found dead with a .38 bullet through his mouth. Hall and justice of the Peace .L. Westall, after an investigation, concluded that the wound was self inflected and that no inquest was necessary.
Mr. Alt, 61 years old, was born in Germany and came to the United States when he was 6 years old. He had been in Arizona since about 1912, most of the time in the Wickenburg and Yuma areas. He once owned a ranch up the river from town, and more recently had been a steam shovel operator. He had been in ill health for several weeks.
Surviving are a brother, a sister-in-law and a cousin. Mr. Alt had never married.
